Summary
One of a series of newspaper cuttings - miscellaneous items of interest to the family. Newspaper cutting from circa 1917 ARMY RECLASSIFIED. MEN WHO CAN MARCH AND MEN WHO CAN WALK. From November 1 all troops serving at home, whether recruits on enlistment or on Class B Army' Reserve, or serving soldiers, or men invalided from an Expeditionary Force or from a garrison abroad, will be medically classified as follows:- CATEGORY A (I.) Men who are actually fit for general service in any theatre of war in all respects, both as regards training, physical, and mental qualifications. (II.) Recruits who should be fit for A (1) as soon as trained. (III.) Men who have previously served with an Expeditionary Force, who should be fit for A (1) as soon as hardened. (IV.) Men under nineteen years of age who should be fit for A (1) or A (2) as soon as they are nineteen years of age. CATEGORY B ........................................
