Summary
1 of 128 Newspaper Cuttings; Subject - Windmills (plus a few watermills and a dovecote). A newspaper cutting of a picture of a windmill from THE NOTTINGHAM EVENING POST, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1958. Caption above; The Only Working Tower Windmill in Notts. Written below: This picturesque windmill, near North Leverton, Notts., still produces the old-time wheat meal and flour in the same way as it has been done since it was built in 1813.. It is said there are only nine mills of this kind still in working condition in the country. Pictured above is Mr. Wilby, a local enthusiast, who keeps the mill in operation, and does all the grinding for local farmers, as well as carrying out any repairs which become necessary.
