Page 12 has a large black and white photograph of a windmill and cottages titled 'STAPLECROSS WINDMILL: A SUSSEX LANDMARK', caption underneath 'The dilapidated state of the originally fine octagonal smock mill at Staplecross, north of Hastings, can be seen in this staff photographer's picture taken yesterday. A well - known landmark for a wide area, the mill is in danger of collapse, and an appeal for repairs has been made to the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings.'.
