One of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to Local History - other than Worksop. 'BYEGONES RELATING TO WORKSOP AND DISTRICT. FAMOUS PRIZE-FIGHTS NEAR WOKSOP Situate on the borders of three counties, the locality of Worksop was a convenient and popular rendezvous of the "fancy". in the days when the championships were settled with the "raw 'uns." One of the most famous fights in the history of the ring was that for a side, which took place in Blyth Park, on Dec. 6th, 1805 ....'
