Summary
One of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to LocalHistory - other than Worksop. An article published in the Worksop Guardian on 29th June, 1958 concerning village pubs which have been demolished. 'Local Village Inns Which have Disappeared Some time ago our contributor E.T. gave us a list of the licensed houses which existed in Worksop 80 years or so ago. Many readers were astounded by the number which had ceased to function in the intervening period. It was felt at the time of publication that a cata- logue of those hostelries which had vanished from the surrounding vil- lages would be equally interesting. ...'
