Summary

One of two of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to Local History - other than Worksop. Article was published on or around 14th March, 1908, concerning "Ivanhoe Land" at Kiveton' The article has faded black ink stains obscuring the text. 'KIVETON PARK, OR "IVANHOE LAND" Saturday 14th March 1908. I visited Kiveton to find "Ivanhoe Land." Leaving the station on the hotel side, and turning to my left, I walked up the hill in the direction of Wales village. Taking the first turn to my right I found myself on a private road called Harihill Walk. In a thicket on the right I saw a young oak tree, protected by a guard made of iron on the exact spot where the "Trysting Tree" was. ...'
