Summary

One of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to Local History - other than Worksop. An article published in The Sheffield Telegraph in 1953 concerning Lord Grey de Ruthyn. 'CAN'T AFFORD ABBEY RIGHT --Peer By Our Own Reporter LORD GREY DE RUTHYN, 69 year-old last surviving member of a family which dates back to the Norman conquest will not exercise his right to carry the golden spurs at the Coronation in June. "I can't afford it." he told me, when I visited his 500-year-old home. ...'
