One of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to Local History - other than Worksop. An article published in The Sheffield Star on November 25th 1950 about local anglers based on the diaries of a local resident. (see J25) 'Peeps Into a Sportsman's Diary' 'CAUGHT 54 PIKE IN DAY - 527 lb. ! In this second peep in the Shooting and Fishing book kept by Mr. J. Cyril Lockwood the well known Sheffield sportsman, we are told of a remarable pke catches at Thoresby-394lb. one day and 527lb. another day by two anglers. ...' '
