Summary
Christmas letter from the Vicar and Mrs. Neill. Piece of cream paper folded in half with black print on all four sides. On the first side December 1962. St. JOHN'S VICARAGE, WORKSOP. LETTER FROM THE VICAR AND MRS. NEILL My dear friends, I hope you will treat this letter, as far as possible, as a personal one, although it is printed. This is necessary because there are nearly 5,000 going out, to every home in the Parish. It is now nearly nine months since we came to Worksop, and we have been greatly encouraged by the warm welcome we have received........... Second side lists Christmas services: then asks parishioners to complete the information slip on the back of the letter. It then lists where and when the Vicar is available. Third side lists the times of Sunday services and weekday activities. Fourth side TO ALL Who STRUGGLE and need STRENGTH, Who are WEARY and need Rest, Who are LONELY and need FRIENDSHIP, Who pray--and all who don't but ought Your Church offers you WELCOME and HOSPITALITY. Then line drawing of the church. At the bottom the information slip.
