Summary

One of a series of newspaper cuttings from various positions in Endcliffe Villa, all pertaining to rights of way and footpaths. Article published in the Worksop Guardian on 29th May, 1959 concerning Tunnel Road Diversi 'The Battle Is Off' .The Ministry of Housing have to Worksop's Town Clerk (Mr Russell C. Pharoal) stating that they have heard from Worksop Manor Estates Ltd. that their application for a diversion of the Tunnel Road has been with- drawn. this means that the public in- quiry, officially advertised by the Ministry in our columns on May 15th (and due to take place on June 24th) will not now be necessary. ...'.
