Article published in the Worksop Guardian on 22nd May, 1959 concerning the Tunnel Road diversion; 'Worksop Borough Council No Diversion SATISFACTORY SETTLEMENT OF TUNNEL ROAD PROBLEM The Tunnel Road footpath is not after all to be diverted. And what one member termed the long-winded and costly pro- ceedings attendant upon a public inquiry will be avoided. This was the welcome news given Monday night week's meeting of Worksop Borough Council by the chairman of the Highways Committee, Coun. Reg. Rabbitt. ....'
