Summary
The brown paper bag wrapping a pile of off cuts of material and spare buttons for a series of clothing, held with a small leather strap with buckle. The brown paper is a single sheet taken from a roll used to wrap items in replacement of a bag. The left and right sides are smooth machine finished with the top and bottom edges serrated where they have been drawn across metal teeth. The paper has faint vertical lines generated as part of the manufacture process andoOne side is blank whilst the other has a blue print design which is repeated along the roll. There is one full print and one part print on the paper, the part print has the bottom words 'PORTLAND HOUSE, WORKSOP'. The full print is 'COLLARD's LTD.' at the top with a centre design of a solid blue vertical oblong with castellated edges, across the front of this is a four wave scroll design carrying the words 'A Bargain for everyone and everything a bargain'. Underneath this in small print is 'Copyright L.P.S. Co., Ltd.', to the left and right are vertical scrolls above and beneath the words 'Milliners', right side, and 'General Drapers', left side. At the bottom is 'PORTLAND HOUSE, WORKSOP'.
