Summary
The second of four of fourteen pages taken from several 'THE FREE PRESS' from 1947, kept with a whole 'THE TIMES' from 1966 and a sheet from 'Worksop Guardian' from 1938. The second page folded together with the date 'Friday, May 9th, 1947' on the top right of the back, as folded. The top as the page is folded has 'Page 5: THE FREE PRESS' in the top left corner. The following three pages are dated 'Friday, June 20th, 1947', 'Friday, May 16th, 1947' and 'Friday, May 23rd, 1947'. On the first page as folded; 'Random Shots SATURDAY morning's weather locally looked anything but favourable for cricket and other summer sports, and, had there been no improvement, games could not have been played. However, the sky cleared to- wards mid-day, the sun shone and the afternoon was delightfully fine. Consequently, quite a few local clubs were able to com- mence their programmes, al- though others had cancelled matches-somewhat prematurely as it turned out-in view of the morning rain.......'.
