Summary
The brown paper envelope containing seven postcards. Envelope - Brown paper with cellophane address window to bottom half. In the top left corner handwritten in pencil 'Bought at Sissons, Worksop Oct. 1945 4d each'. Next to this is a red postal stamp, circular with 'WORKSOP NOTTS 4 15PM 1 MAY 1939 GT BRITAIN'. In the right corner a red postal stamp made out of seven wavy lines broken in the middle by '1/2D PAID'. Above this in pencil '...Ra..f...' with a line through. The back is plain with a top triangular opening and a pencil 'D'. Postcards - a series of black line drawings hand coloured with water colour. 'Priory Church' 'THE PRIORY CHURCH WORKSOP.' 'Shireoaks Hall' 'THE PRIORY CHURCH WORKSOP.' 'Priory Church.' 'BLYTH' 'THE ABBEY GATEWAY. WORKSOP. IN 1826.'.
