Summary
One in a collection of various pieces of used and none used wrapping papers, paper bags and scraps of paper and card. A used white paper envelope with diamond construction and triangular top opening. The opening has been stuck down at the back which is plain and the envelope accessed via slitting the top. The front has an open window for the address at the bottom centre and a printed company logo in the top left corner. The logo is a printed in a pale burgundy of a half circle design containing two lions straddling a globe beneath which reads 'J.LYONS.&.CO.LTD'. Under the logo is printed 'CADBY HALL, LONDON, W.14'. In the top centre is a round postal stamp mark in red; 'PADDINGTON W.2 30 SEP 1944 B'. To the right of this is another red postal stamp made up of seven wavy lines broken by the price paid in the center '21/2D PAID'. The envelope is kept with others in a folded piece of card (record 748857.7).
