Summary
The brown paper envelope containing fifteen postcards. Envelope - brown paper tube design envelope with left side opening to the rear and the number '4' handwritten in pencil and circled, the mark is upside down. The front has 'KING'S COLLEGE LONDON' printed in black at the centre top. Beneath and to the right of which is two postal marks stamped in red ink. The first is a circle containaing ' LONDON 2 MAY 1950 GREAT BRITAIN'. The second is a series of seven wavy lines broken in the centre by '1D' above 'PAID'. In the middle, just left of centre, is the address typed in black ink; 'W. Straw, esq. , M.A., 7, Blyth Grove, WORKSOP, Notts.'. To the right of this is a handwritten note in faded black ink; '12 Friths Views of Worksop Fo W . H . Smith's 2/- 13 May, 1950'. Postcards - 'The Priory Gateway, Worksop.'
