Receipt: White paper receipt stuck to the bottom left corner of the invoice 'No. 23258' addressed 31-33 Queen Victoria St. London, E.C.4'. 'Received from William Straw esq the sum of two pounds twelve shillings and six pence for A. & F. Denny Ltd with thanks l....ley Date 11/10 1950'. With a 2D red postage stamp in bottom right corner with '£2/12/6' written over the top diagonaly from top left to bottom right. The back is blank. The invoice is kept in the book 'A modern English grammar on historical principles' by Otto Jespersen (1860-1943) (record 3168045).
