Summary
Christmas Greetings Cards - one of a series of Christmas cards received by William Straw Jnr. in 1983 kept in a white envelope. Bottom opening card with a picture of Blackfriars Bridge over the river Thames with St Pauls' Cathedral in the background. In the foreground are rowing boats. Inside top - White card printed in the centre in black ink BLACKFRIARS BRIDGE by William Marlow (1740-1813) At the bottom right hand side of the page printed in black ink the logo for Save the Children Handwritten in blue ink over the whole page is- Inside bottom - printed in the centre in black ink: With Christmas Greetings and all good wishes for the New Year from Mary and John Hawke Handwritten above in blue ink To William (underlined) Handwritten below in blue ink With Love (underlined) Bottom left hand corner is printed in black ink Kent Lodge, Worksop.
