Summary
Christmas Greetings Cards - one of a series of Christmas cards received by William Straw Jnr. in 1983 kept in a white envelope. Right opening card with a picture of Victorian children playing round a Christmas tree. The room is festooned with greenery and a girl is standing on a stool lifting something off the tree. Inside left - White card with handwritten in blue ink: Trust you are keeping fit and well. Pandora is now in her final year at Bedford. She was 21 last September - which makes one feel rather ancient! B. underlined Inside right - printed in the centre in black ink; Happy Christmas Above is handwritten in blue ink: To Uncle Billy Underneath is handwritten in blue ink & Best Wishes for the New Year love from Betty, Peter & Pandora - underlined Back - In the centre is printed in black ink: THE CHRISTMAS PARTY by E.
