Summary
The lid to a small two part cardboard box of 'THE TOWER PAPER FASTENERS' containing split pins and an elastic band, a seed, two small stones, three drawing pins and one needle. Kept in a gold and blue metal tin with hinged lid marked 'The Allenburys GLYCERINE AND BLACKCURRANT PASTILLES.' with a metal triangle with two metal balls that meet at the top. The box is made of white cardboard with a lift off top. The lid has a white stick on label that would have originally run all the way around the box but has been separated down the two short edges when first opened. A burgundy and white design is printed on the top with 'THE TOWER PAPER FASTENERS.' over the pictures of six split pins decreasing in size from left to right with 'S6', 'S5', 'S4', 'S3', 'S2', 'S1' to the right of each sequentially. Over this is a further smaller white stick on label obscuring '....R PAPER..' of the title with the name and address 'A CRAYMER Moorgate Hall, 149 Moorgate London, E.C.' in black. On the right and left short edge's of the lid is the top half of a double line border inside of which is printed '1 Gross No. S2.' in the same burgundy print, both long edges are blank.
