Possibly a child's money box. This small leather item holds pride of place on Walter's mantlepiece, in his bedroom.

Summary

Miniature red leather post box. 'Post Office' in gold lettering on front. Small paper label on base and calico label/tag on back.

Provenance

Straw collection bequeathed to The National Trust on the death in 1990 of William Straw.
