Glass jar, empty, with the home preserving jar' etched on glass. Printed label with a green border and a white text box, in which 'PITMASION PEARS, 29 OCT 1963,' has been handwritten. In the green border at the base of the label is white printed text which says'BOTTLED WITH A SNAP PATENT VACUUM CLOSURE' 'SNAP PATENT VACUUM CLOSURE' is printed in an upside-down triangular-shaped logo in the lower-right corner. The triangle is pink. 'SNAP' is printed in white text. 'PATENT VACUUM' is printed in black text. 'CLOSURE' is printed in red text in a white rectangle below the triangle. Below this is printed 'MADE BY GRAHAM FARISH LTD, BROMLEY KENT' 'HOME PRESERVE JAR' is in raised glass lettering on the side of the jar.Also lid with rubber liner.
