The tall clear glass bottle, square base, metal and cork stopper of 'Crosse and Blackwell's Browning' wrapped in original brown paper wrapping (BLG/G/136.2) (with contents). Flat square glass bottle with content and white paper label with black print design, the royal coat of arms sits at the tope centre with rampant Lion and unicorn with text; 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN BY APPOITMENT CROSSE & BLACKWELL'S BROWNING FOR COLOURISING GRAVIES, SOUPS, HASHES ETC. in cold weather the bottle should be placed in warm water for a short time before use. Contents : 3 fluid ounces Net. CROSSE&BLACKWELL (MRG Co) LTD. LONDON. ENGLAND. SIZE No. 1.'. The metal and cork cap is held in place with a paper seal which has become damaged on one side leaving part of 'CR..... B ....' and the full 'C AND B' design at the base, on the other side the complete label 'C AND B CROSSE BLACKWELL' and on the top the royal crest 'BY APPOINTMENT'.
