Summary
A mahogany and cast iron occasional reading table, Birmingham, circa 1900. The table supported on a twisted cast iron column that seperates into four splayed claw feet, mounted on castors. Above the table there is a clamped on reading easel on an articulated arm with metal page rest and brass oval plaque label: 'E.P.NORTH BIRMINGHAM MANUFACTURER (Lion and Unicorn coat of arms with Latin inscription), THE PATENT READING EASEL MAYBE APPLIED TO ANY CHAIR, BED, OR SOFA CAN BE USED WITH THE BODY IN ANY POSITION'.
