Summary
Book of Hours, illuminated manuscript on vellum, North West France, mid 15th century. In a later gold-tooled red leather binding, lettered on spine 'Missale Romanum.' Bookplate of Frances Ann Hoare and annotated 'From Barn Elms.'

In the collection of Frances Ann Acland, Lady Hoare (1735/6 – 1800) at Barn Elms, Surrey. Transferred to Stourhead, probably early nineteenth century. Bequeathed by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947), 1946.
