Print, engraving, Francis Russell, 5th Duke of Bedford (1765 - 1802) by John Samuel Agar (1773 - 1858). Engraving of a statue of Francis Russell, 5th Duke of Bedford by Richard Westmacott RA and erected in Russell Square, London 3rd August 1809. The duke is represented standing with her right arm restng on a plough, the left hand holding ears of corn and a sheep beside him. A his feet are four figures (bronze) representing the seasons. The duke was a member of the first Board of Agriculture.
