Summary

Proof print on paper, engraving, The East front of Stourhead in Wiltshire the Seat of Henry Hoare Esq. (after Colen Campbell) by Hendrick Hulsberg (Amsterdam – London 1729). Depicts the central block, portico, steps and rustication. Marked p.42 Vol 3rd., date unknown.

Provenance

Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
