A black and white photograph of the three-quarter length portrait of Alda Weston, Lady Hoare (1861-1947) by Augusto Stoppoloni (San Severino Marche 1855 – Gubbio 1936) (730862). Photograph by Henry Dixon & Son (Henry Dixon 1820 – 1893, his son Thomas James Dixon 1857 – 1943). Stamped on reverse 'HENRY DIXON & SON, PHOTOGRAPHERS, 112 ALBANY STREET, LONDON, N.W.' Three-quarter-length portrait of Lady Hoare in a sumptuous white dress with a large ostrich feather fan in her right hand. Acquisition Method: gift

Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
