Summary
Miniature, watercolour painting on ivory, A Farm Girl, attributed to Rosalba Carriera (Venice 1675 - Venice 1757). Rectangular. Three-quarter-length figure of a young girl, turned to the left, gazing to the left, seated, leaning on handle of a bucket full of plums and redurrants with black-handled knife, all on a red-patterned tablecloth. Low-cut loose grey overall with long sleeves and pale blue cap. Brown protruding eyes, fair hair closely brushed back, pale complexion.
