A mahogany and upholstered open armchair, English, circa 1840 Mid 18th century style, upholstered in a later leatherette with padded arms and moulded supports, raised on square section tapered legs, originally with castors.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
