Summary
One of seven newspaper cuttings from an unknown newspaper, 'Antique Ornaments', describing a significant archeological find after a cliff collapse near Eastbourne, Sussex, probably annotated by Sir Richard Colt Hoare, 2nd Bt. (9 December 1758 - 19 May 1838), 14 January 1807.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
