Summary
Newspaper, copy of The Bucks Standard ("Croydon Weekly Standard") No 2635, Saturday August 28th 1909. An inscription in Alda Weston, Lady Hoare's handwriting on top of back page reads "See Harry's Coming of Age / In the library, Stourhead July 30th 1921 - 6p.m. - I have just re-read this on the 4th birthday since he fell in Palestine. R.I.P." Back page column five entitled 'Wavendon / Coming of age of Mr.H.C.A. Hoare.' and marked with two handwritten crosses.

Inscribed in Alda Weston, Lady Hoare's handwriting "In the library, Stourhead July 30th 1921 - 6p.m. - I have just re-read this on the 4th birthday since he fell in Palestine. R.I.P." Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
