Summary
Alabaster, Spinario. Figure of a boy removing a thorn from his foot from the bronze antique statue, first recorded between 1165/67 outside the Latern Palace and one of the bronzes transferred from there to the Palazzo dei Conservatori (Capitoline Museum) on the Capitol in Rome by Pope Sixtus IV after 1471 where it remains apart from the time it spent in France between 1798 and 1816 .
