Book: Sketchbook - Large hard-covered sketchbook, cover detached. Brown leather spine. Inscribed on front cover 'Drawings from Nature by J.C. Nattes, 1810, Yorkshire Bretton Hall, Wartley, Huthwaite House, Whaincliff etc.etc.' Contains pen and ink, pencil and wash drawings. Each drawing is marked with its location and date.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
