Summary
A leather and board-bound drawing book with paper pages containing drawings by J.C. Nattes (c.1765 - 1839). The book has been used in landscape format and the pages are filled with watercolour/ink wash and pencil drawings of landscapes and buildings in Fulham, Kensington and Woburn. Some of the drawings have been annotated with the location and date. On the front endpaper across the upper edge in pencil is written '42 Drawings 2.6.0' '42 - M.m -'. On the back endpaper at the lower edge is written in pen 'For Mr Naths'. Acquisition: a gift

Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
