Summary
A leather and board-bound drawing book with paper pages containing drawings by J.C.Nattes (c.1765 - 1839). The book has been used in landscape format and the pages are filled with pencil drawings of mainly landscapes and buildings. There are some unused pages towards the back of the book and a pencil drawing of a tree (portrait format) on the last page and annotated in pencil 'Boughs more numerous as you round the tree' on the reverse of the flyleaf. Acquisition: a gift

Bequeathed to the National Trust along with Stourhead House, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
