Summary
One of a set of four oak and leather upholstered chairs, English, circa 1870. By W. Snowdon, Rochdale, each with red leather padded back and seat, the back with over-scrolled uprights raised on gadrooned bulbs, the channelled front seat rail centred with an ebonised rosette, standing on octagonal tapering legs headed with a blind-fret tablet and terminating in castors, each stamped to the rear seat rail W SNOWDON ROCHDALE 540.
