Summary
A rosewood and brass-inlaid cylinder bureau, English, circa 1815. Surmounted by a two-door cabinet with three-quarter pierced brass gallery, each door with trellis panels and brass edging, the cylinder fall inlaid with line and anthemion detail and opening to reveal a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and eight small and one long satinwood drawers, with a further frieze drawer having similar inlay and bold brass handles, standing on ring-turned tapering legs headed with foliate brass collars and terminating in brass castors.
