Chamber Horses were made for indoor exercise and used early spring technology. They were advertised as “avoiding the expense and difficulty of riding on a live horse”, safely curing obesity and ten minutes gallop before breakfast was supposed to give the rider “a Wiltshire labourer’s appetite.”!
