Summary
Wooden croquet box with cracked lid, inscribed The association registered croquet hoops Jacques and Son Ltd, London, with... illegible... round bases. Top right hand corner of box inscribed with new pattern to be used at the principal tournaments, the firmest hoop yet invented. T H P cut out on bottom of box. Tow hooks to fasten case, metal carrying handle. Box contains sixteen wooden pointed pins, one small wooden pin, eight metal clips, eleven hoops, two silver metal double pointed pins, one metal three pointed pins and two metal plates.

Pennyman collection devised in October 1961 to The National Trust under the terms of Col. J.B.W. Pennyman's will.
