Summary
One-third length portrait of a lady. Watercolour in a gilt wooden frame with moulded edges. The sitter is turning towards the left and dressed in a black lace mantilla with her left hand on her chest. The background is a pale blue wash and contained in an oval mount. Painted by Edwin D Smith, 1851.
Provenance
Pennyman collection devised in October 1961 to The National Trust under the terms of Col. J.B.W. Pennyman's will.
