Summary
A wood and metal washboard, consisting of a rectangular wooden frame holding a ridged and perforated metal panel. The two long sides of the frame extend below the metal panel to form two legs and also above the metal panel is a wide cross piece attached on top of the two uprights to form a hand grip. A piece of wood is attached to the back of the two uprights to form a solid wood panel above the metal panel. Impressed on the centre of the wooden panel are the words 'Northern Queen Makes Washing A Pleasure, Made In Sweden'. The metal panel is supported at the back by three wooden uprights set into the upper and lower pieces of the frame.
