Summary

A wooden first aid box which has a hinged lid. The box has two metal hinges at the back and a metal catch at the front, with a swivelling arm to fasten it. The lid is deeper in proportion to the base. The lid has gold lettering on the top which reads 'The Home First Aid Case'. Below is a square red and gold motif which reads 'Boots'. The front of the box also has a shield motif which has a red background with a gold cross inside it. Inside the lid and the base are two pieces of yellow card which have been inserted flush with the top edge. This allows for the equipment to be stored underneath. The two yellow cards have instructions on them entitled 'The "Home" First Aid Case. List Of Contents And Directions For Use'. The list includes instructions for fits, fractures, burns and scolds, cuts, slight, cuts, severe and fainting. The contents of the box includes the following; a pair of metal tweezers in a clear plastic bag, a 'Grey Triangular Bandage B.P.C' sealed in a clear wax paper, a role of 'Micropore Surgical Tape' in a square white box, a single sheet of white folded paper with printed information about the product 'Cetavon', a single sheet of white paper with printed information entitled 'Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981', a single folded sheet of paper entitled 'First Aid In The Home, Instructions for Everyday Emergencies', and three metal safety pins.
