Summary
An assortment of wooden reels with thread wrapped around them. Most of them are natural wood colour, and one is black. The thread is of either cotton or silk and in various sizes and colours, made by several different manufacturers, whose colour-printed paper labels are stuck on the ends. Three of the reels have handwriting in ink on the end. The manufacturers include John Dewhurst and Sons Ltd (Skipton, Yorkshire), Lister and Co. (Bradford, Yorkshire), Clark and Co. (Paisley, Scotland), Adderly and Compy. Ltd., Joseph Johnson, French, Russell and Co. (all Leicester) and J. P. Coats. Total number of items is 21.
