A ‘Brown and Polson’s’ blancmange mould made from white, glazed ceramic. On the base is a maker's mark, and on the side a recipe for ‘Corn-flour Blanc-Mange’ have been applied in black, probably as a transfer. The inside of the mould is shaped with ridges of arches, to mould whatever is cooked in it.
