Summary
Panels 6 to 11 form a set, the dimensions are the same, and there are indications that they have all been in the same building - the remains of mortar on the leads is very similar, and the lead ties are all in the same positions indicating that they originally had 5 supporting bars. These panels date from the mid 16th century, probably English, and are a very important survival. Panel 10 has a central Fleur de Lys in paint and stain badge of Prince of Wales. As in panel 8 there is a wreath but in bluenglass to this panel. There is an inscription ‘N6’.
Provenance
