Summary
One of a set of eight walnut dining chairs circa 1735 with camel backs supported by pierced splats, raised on four cabriole legs, the front ones with shell carved knees and the chair rails carved with a running Vitruvian scroll around three sides. Drop-in seats upholstered in red wool damask in 1998 by John Hartley with material made by Richard Humphries.
