Summary
A slop basin. Part of a twenty-six piece tea service made from white china ceramic with a red, blue and gold decorative pattern. The tea service also consists of; nine tea plates, ten saucers, five tea cups and one bread and butter plate. The manufacturer's stamp is on the base of the pieces and it reads; 'Stanley China, England'. This bowl would have been used to dispose of the remains or dregs of a cup of tea before refilling the cup.
