Summary

Sewing set in tortoiseshell box, lid bears initials 'JL' or 'IL'; fitted interior lined with red velvet containing built-in pin-cushion, gold thimble, pair of scissors, red silk needle case, flat rectangular piece of ivory, tape-measure in ornate drum, cylindrical silver pencil, ornate darning needle, letter opener? with ornate handle. Due to their small size, the latter two items do not protrude.
