Summary
Plaster plaque (circular), Night, after Bertel Thorvaldsen (Gronnegade 1770 – Copenhagen 1844) by the Della Robbia company. A winged female bearing two infants, the figures in white on a blue ground. A pair to Day, of which the original models of 1815 are in the Thorwaldsen Museum, Copenhagen. There are a pair of marble reliefs in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, possibly executed by Luigi Bienaimé in Thorwaldsen's studio in 1825/5.
